Holistic Legal Representation

Sometimes, good people make bad choices, but that doesn't make them bad people. At Lucero Law, we work with each client to find not only immediate short-term legal solutions, but also long-term life solutions. We collaborate with nonprofit social service organizations to help clients obtain assistance for underlying issues that may have contributed to their contact with the criminal justice system.

Other times, law enforcement just gets it wrong! Lucero Law will always protect your rights and attack your case from all sides to get you the best outcome possible.

You Deserve a Fresh Start

A set aside may be available if you were convicted of a misdemeanor or felony in an Arizona Court and have satisfied all sentencing requirements (prison or jail time, probation, paid fines and fees, etc.). A set aside shows that you competed your sentence and have no pending charges. It also helps you put your mistakes in the past and focus on your future. Requests to restore civil rights and gun rights can also be submitted to the Court at the same time as the request to set aside a conviction.

It is important to work with an attorney who is knowledgeable about set aside laws in Arizona and can prepare a persuasive petition to get your prior convictions set aside.

Protecting Your Loved Ones

A Guardian is appointed by a judge to make decisions for a person who is incapable of making their own decisions due to mental or physical illness/disability or alcohol/drug abuse. If you are the parent of a special needs adult child in Arizona, you must petition the court to be appointed as your adult child's guardian in order to make decisions for your adult child. The same is true if you are the child of a parent who has developed dementia or Alzheimer's. You will need to be appointed as guardian (and potentially, conservator), in order to administer the affairs of your parent, absent a valid power of attorney.

Lucero Law can assist you with every step of the guardianship process and determine if you also need a conservatorhsip. We will also get the court filing fees waived or deferred if you are eligible.

While price should not be your only deciding factor when choosing an attorney, Lucero Law understands that price is important. We strive to provide transparent pricing and affordable flat fee rates for full representation on your legal matter. During your consultation, you will always receive an exact quote for the representation fee and our best estimate of expenses based on the unique circumstances of your case. Lucero Law does not charge for small things like copying, printing, or regular postage.

Pretrial representation ranges from $950 for basic offenses, such as criminal speeding or aggressive driving, up to $2800 for more complex misdemeanors, such as multiple offenses or DUI. Lucero Law’s misdemeanor rates are capped at $2800 for all clients.

Criminal trial representation rates are additional. Generally, only 5% of criminal cases make it all the way to trial. For that reason, Lucero Law does not charge upfront for these fees. We discuss these fees if/when we decide to go to trial.

Set aside rates range from $750 for misdemeanors up to $1500 for felonies and include preparing and filing the petition, appearing at required hearings, and preparing and filing a motion for reconsideration in the event your set aside is initially denied.

Full representation on uncontested adult guardianship matters is $2500 and also includes all service of process expenses. However, court filing fees are an additional expense that are not included. Contested guardianships convert to an hourly pricing model.

We offer customized Legal Coaching, basically a “do it yourself kit” if you choose to represent yourself. During a one-hour session with the attorney, we will answer questions and provide legal advice. We will walk you through the rules and procedures of your legal matter, provide you with all the forms you need, and even help you fill out those forms. You will leave our office with forms, an info sheet customized to your legal matter, the opportunity to send up to two follow-up emails to obtain additional advice, and most importantly, confidence that you are headed in the right direction.
